MY VISIBLE MEND
My visible Mend is a company that embraces imperfection. Eva, the founder, approached me to create an authentic, raw and engaging logo direction that would allow her to embrace her personality.
She brings life to discarded items, in our chuck away culture, Eva is a soldier of good… bringing new life to the things we no longer deem “useable”… she is a mender of things and sees beauty in their imperfections.
I really wanted to lean into the duality of beauty and imperfection. Imperfection can be fascinating, the discarded can be respected… I wanted to let people re think their perception of beauty and ugly.
Eva in her childhood was fascinated by bugs… I love how the 'creepiness' of the bug is entwined with the 'beauty' of the flowering bud… emphasising the “bringing new life to the old and ignored”.
The seemingly ugly can still be beautiful… this is why I love what I do.
