It’s crazy how quickly a day can go when you are busy; sometimes you blink, and you realise it’s 5 pm and you have not even had lunch yet! This is a good thing and a bad thing. Good because our days are full and bad because we only have a limited number of days – haha.

I wanted to share a quick blog today on how I have increased my productivity over the years. These have made me super-efficient and, therefore, more profitable.

NO.1 – Turn off your email!

I am super-efficient in the morning, so I don’t turn my client email on until lunchtime! This way I am not getting distracted by the constant “bings”

NO.2 – Focuson one big thing a day

This took me a while to get to grips with! I spent many years doing multiple tasks over a day, only to see that many things never got very far! Now, my day is focused on one big task. Once I have finished that, I can move on to something else!

NO.3 – Train your brain to be effective

You hear me talking about this all the time, but habits and routines are essential for the creative business owner. I break my day into focused sessions;

8 am – 2 pm = most important task

2 pm – 3 pm = social / email / admin

3 pm – finish = calls / coaching/ planning / fucking around

These are not exacts, but I come very close, and I do this every day, without fail, from Monday to Thursday. I have now tried to do 4 x 12-hour days, so I can take a half day on Friday! This is a new thing so I can spend more time with Rocco and have a longer weekend.

NO.4 – I stay in my lane

It is so easy to get distracted by the thoughts and ideas of others! ‘You should be using AI’, ‘you should become a brand strategist’ or ‘you should build a team to do all the work’.

If you listen to others’ opinions all the time, you will spend all your time chasing a tail that’s not yours!

Growth comes through continued focus.

Yes, you have to keep evolving, tweaking and working hard! But make sure it’s your dream and not someone else’s… the funny thing is you are exactly where you are supposed to be!

I hope these help my friends.

HAVE THE BEST DAY
